La Gualda Vecchia Charming room rentals

La Gualda Vecchia is a farm with a typical Tuscan stone farmhouse whose foundations date back to the 16th century. Located in Monteverdi Marittimo in  the province of Pisa between the Val di Cornia, the Metalliferous Hills and the Etruscan Coast, near from Sassetta known for its thermal baths and red marble, Castagneto Carducci with crystal beaches and  Bolgheri, a land of wines among the most renowned in the world.

The residence is located in a privileged place with a panoramic view and inserted in an unspoiled natural area. A few kilometers from the residence there are wonderful beaches including the famous sandy Baratti or the unmissable Buca delle Fate and reefs. But also medieval villages, spas, cellars, olive oil mills, archaeological sites, natural parks and various other attractions of interest.

The farmhouse includes apartments and rooms furnished with elegant and handcrafted materials of the highest quality and with all comforts. The structure is ideal for those who want to live in direct contact with the Nature.

In the place there are two Maremma shepherds dogs, kittens, donkeys, lambs, as well as an emotional garden designed by the architect Caterina Angela Contu with various thematic areas such as ornamental garden, labyrinthine entrance with historical monoliths, water square, amphitheater in the cherry wood, … In the adjacent woods you can observe wild animals in freedom such as foxes, hare, fallow deer, porcupines, wild boars and many different kind of birds over centuries-old trees such as oak, holm oak and colorful corks.

Furthermore, in the underground, you can find mushrooms, wild asparagus, myrtle and many other edible wild species.

The property has terraces and gardens with panoramic views furnished with comfortable outdoor furniture, ideal for relaxation and tranquility. In addition, the structure offers the opportunity to taste a delicious and genuine breakfast with fresh products at km 0. Worth mentioning are the delicious homemade biscuits, jams and flatbread, as well as a fine selection of local cured meat and cheeses.

CIPRESSO ROOM

The Cipresso room faces east with a small private outdoor terrace. The room features a premium quality double bed lined in cashmere and pure cotton linens. The furnishings are precious and made with recycled noble materials transformed into furniture and design objects.

The room has a bathroom with pure cotton terry towels, terracotta tiles, first aid kit, hairdryer, organic courtesy set and scented environment with natural essences. The Cipresso room can be rented individually or in combination with the Quercia room, either with the kitchen / living room, or without.

 

QUERCIA ROOM

Sleeps: 2

The Quercia room faces north and overlooks a wonderful veranda, surrounded by ancient walls about a meter high above which colorful flowers rest.

The room features a premium quality double bed lined in cashmere and pure cotton linens. The furnishings are precious and made with recycled noble materials transformed into furniture and design objects.

The room has a bathroom with pure cotton terry towels, terracotta tiles, first aid kit, hairdryer, organic courtesy set and scented environment with natural essences. The Quercia room can be rented individually or in combination with the Cipresso room, either with the kitchen / living room, or without.

 

LECCIO ROOM

The Leccio room faces west with a small arbor that protects the entrance door. From the French door you can see the garden with many different species of flowers. The room features a premium quality double bed lined in cashmere and pure cotton linens, bedside tables, hatbox and wardrobe. The furnishings are precious and made with recycled noble materials transformed into furniture and design objects.

The room has a bathroom with pure cotton terry towels, terracotta tiles, first aid kit, hairdryer, organic courtesy set and scented environment with natural essences. The Leccio room can be rented individually or in combination with the living room equipped with a fireplace.

 

LECCIO APARTMENT

The Leccio apartment has  a double suite (Leccio) with bathroom and a living room with fireplace. The entrance to this apartment overlooks a lovely outdoor area, sheltered by the ancient stone wall. The outdoor area is equipped with a large antique solid wood table and a corner with table and chairs where you can relax.

The apartment has a solid wood kitchen equipped with handmade crockery, a set of pots, stove, fridge with freezer, dishwasher. In the kitchen there are spices, organic extra virgin olive oil, pasta and detergents. The apartment has a French sofa bed, extendable dining table with chairs, fireplace, games and books. Reservations start from a minimum of two nights.

 

QUERCIA APARTMENT

The Quercia apartment has two rooms  with bathroom – the Quercia and Cipresso. The entrance of this apartment overlooks a bright veranda with an antique wooden table and a view of the woods and flowers.

The apartment has a solid wood kitchen equipped with handcrafted crockery, a set of pots, induction cooker, fridge with freezer, dishwasher. In the kitchen there are spices, organic extra virgin olive oil, pasta and detergents. The apartment has a bathroom with facilities and a living room including a king size sofa bed, an extendable dining table with chairs, an original antique fireplace, games and books. Reservations start from a minimum of two nights.
