Arriving in Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, you will be immersed in art. It makes you wish that you could paint like Botticelli, Raphael and Leonardo Da Vinci. You can share something with the great masters: you can create your masterpiece in Florence! An artist will guide you through the creative process and, while you sip a glass of wine you can watch your artwork unfold. Similar to wine courses and taught painting in the United States, this experience takes place in various places in the city. You will be provided with all necessary materials, such as brushes, acrylics, canvases, easels, aprons, water, etc. The teacher will help you create familiarity with painting with acrylic colors. One of the advantages of acrylic colors is that they’re easy to use because of their flexible nature. The acrylic paint is safe to use, rather odorless and dries quickly. After learning the basics, the teacher will provide you with a template to work from. Step by step, you will be guided through the creative development of the work until you’ll have your own finished masterpiece. While working, you can enjoy Italian wine and delicious snacks. At the end of the lesson, you will receive a certificate of participation.

Castello di Leonina is a charming Relais (4 stars) housed in an ancient castle dating from the thirteenth century, the place of residence of the noble Chigi family and country residence of Cardinal Fabio Chigi, who later became Pope with the name of Alexander VII. After careful renovations in 2003, the old fortress has been transformed into a Relais hotel in the heart of the Crete Senesi. The Relais castle is located 18 km from Siena and about 20 minutes by car from the town of Asciano.

The Relais offers free outdoor parking. The spacious 21 rooms of the castle, furnished with impeccable taste and refinement and equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, and a minibar, offer a wonderful view of the surrounding hills and beautiful landscapes of the Crete Senesi. The restaurant “La Terrazza di Leonina“, inside the Relais has a large terrace and is distinguished by the high quality of its cuisine, with recipes based on the old Tuscan tradition.
