Andrea Mancini paintings and courses

Andrea Mancini is a fashion illustrator and artist and director of the 166ARTE art gallery in Florence. He has always lived a daily meeting with books, traveling companions, great loves. His painted canvases have intimate beats, evocative atmospheres. Delicate and pasty colors, light on light, the ocher inside penombre. Assimilating the painting in search of disquietude, this is Andrea Mancini’s goal. His canvases are reproduced as prints on selected and precious fabrics that become elegant clothing accessories or objects for the home, designed by his wife Stefania Alba and displayed for sale in the gallery.

Some of his works have been acquired by the Marino Marini Museum and the Diocesan Museum of Florence. Numerous international exhibitions appear in his curricullum. He holds painting and illustration workshops in schools and academies, he lives and works in Florence.

Here you will learn and deepen the techniques, the creative processes, the secrets of painting, illustration and drawing, applying them day by day, session after session. Small groups, five or six students at most, to guarantee everyone a complete and personalized training. You can choose between the monthly module, renewable at the beginning of each month, and the special quarterly subscription. Study programs for beginners, students, and “Masters” professionals.

Required materials
Hard and soft pencils: nos. H, 2H, 3B and 4B,
sticks of fusaggine, various brushes, (of hair and in bristle)
various colors in tube, drawing paper,
canvas painting cm. 30 × 40/40 × 50.

– The study program also includes open-day sessions lasting three hours, on Saturday mornings, on specific subjects (eg “the portrait” or meetings with teachers).
– At each course end a certificate of attendance is issued, valid for the curriculum, and each year a final exhibition with the awarding of the students.
– Registration is open all year round, beginning every first Wednesday of the month.
