Borgo Il Castagno is an elegant residence located at Gambassi Terme. The property has a 17th century villa surrounded by a rural village with panoramic views of the Tuscan hills. Inside the villa there are refined rooms and large spaces for ceremonies and meetings. Also, the structure has 14 apartments with every comfort. Besides a complex of outdoor pools with panoramic views and a relax area, Il Castagno has a park of over 120,000 square meters, which is home to many animals. Guests are offered Tuscan cooking classes.
VILLA
The Villa was built in the 1600s by the senatorial family of the Rinuccini family of Florence. Around 1815 it passed as a legacy to the Marquises Capponi of Florence who hosted the Grand Duke of Tuscany several times. Elegantly furnished with period furniture, the villa has 8 rooms with terracotta floors and coffered or arched ceilings.
The villa’s reception hall can host up to 200 guests for events. The villa has a private pool and the garden is an ideal location for weddings and ceremonies.

THE PARK
The natural park of the estate covers about 120,000 square meters. with two ponds. One of the ponds is populated by swans and ducks, where it is possible to fish. In the other pond is possible to admire water lilies. The park is ideal for picnics and relaxing walks. It is possible to visit the park through natural paths and sight animals like roe deer, fallow deer, fawns and squirrels.

Main hall of the villa can accommodate up to 200 guests, while in the garden can seat 250 people with the possibility of celebrating the civil wedding ceremony.
